Hey! I’m John. I’m a wedding photographer in Cardiff that specialises in authentic documentary wedding photography.

Cardiff offers such a varied backdrop for weddings from dramatic coastline to rural countryside and modern city venues.

My photography is relaxed, modern and documentary focused. Perfect for the nervous or camera-shy! I won’t pull you away from your guests for hours or ask you to recreate moments. Instead, I work quietly and unobtrusively, allowing your wedding day to unfold naturally while I document it all.

When it comes to portraits, I keep things simple and calm with gentle guidance so everything still feels natural. This means you get beautiful, emotional images without feeling like you’ve stepped into an awkward photoshoot.

I’m John, a Cardiff Wedding Photographer capturing relaxed, natural weddings across Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan and the wider South Wales area. I specialise in documentary wedding photography for couples who want their day photographed honestly, without awkward posing or constant direction.

My approach is all about telling the real story of your wedding as it unfolds. From the nerves of the morning through to the energy of the evening celebrations, I quietly document genuine moments as they happen.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes! I can travel all over the UK, Europe and the Rest Of the World.

Your photos are delivered via your own personal online gallery where they are available in high resolution, shareable with your friends and family and on all devices. Previews are 48hrs after your wedding and full galleries within 12 weeks.

I generally start around 2 hours before the ceremony and continue until after your first dance/bands first set. I believe in telling the full story of your day, without time limits.

Yes, absolutely. I keep these relaxed and efficient so you can get back to enjoying your wedding quickly.

For a full day wedding, you will receive a minimum of 700 images, usually lots more. For a Part Day (6 Hour) wedding, anything from 400 up.

Initially there is a booking payment/retainer of £300. Your remaining balance is then due one month before the date of your wedding. If you would like to spread that into a few payments, just let me know and we can set that up easily. Card payment is also available.

Personally, I believe that you can only really do one at a time and do it well, so I only offer photography. However I often work with lots of great videographers in South Wales and would be happy to recommend some to you.
