Apparently, the Druidstone Hotel don’t really tend to advertise for weddings. It seems like its this kind of secret hideout in the far far west of Wales. It had a last outpost kind of feel to it as I drove the single tracks on my way to the wedding of Sarah and Chris last month.
I don’t know if it was the fact it was so close to solstice, but there was a bit of a mystical feel in the air! The Druidstone certainly is a special place and was a perfect match for Sarah and Chris. The whole day was super relaxed, helped by some of the friendliest staff a photographer could ever wish to work with.
I first met up with S+C when they were searching for their Druidstone hotel wedding photographer. I had a feeling that they were a couple that couple that while wanting awesome photographs, didn’t want it to take over their whole day.
Like lots of others (me included!) they mentioned that they weren’t super comfortable in front of the camera so we kept things simple. Wait until sunset, go for a walk along the cliffs, thats it. Magic happens when two people are in love, you just have to be ready.
Here are a few of my faves from the day, drop me a email if you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Wales or anywhere else for that matter!
