I am actually from Cardigan. Which makes heading back that way to photograph weddings that little bit more special for me. When Chris initially contacted me he mentioned where the service would take place, a tiny chapel called the Holy Cross church in Mwnt.
Now to say that this is probably one of the most spectacular venues for a wedding that there can be in Wales, or anywhere else for that matter. I’d paid a quick visit with my partner Jenny on the day that I met up with Chris and Ewa for a chat before their wedding and had a chance for a good look at the area.
With its incredible cliff top location there is almost too much incredible scenery to photograph in a short space of time! This is definitely the kind of venue that you pray for good weather. I can’t imagine the scene if it was blowing a gale and hammering down with rain too, that would have been a little interesting!
Luckily, all we had was a slight breeze and with some generous cloud cover we made the most of the time we had. Ewa had gone to a lot of trouble in making some extra wildflower decorations for the church and also for the favours back at the Cardigan Guild Hall for the reception.
I really enjoyed the day, Ewa and Chris make an incredible team and I wish them all the best for their future!
