Why have me around on the most special day of your life? Well, I’ve been told that I have a ‘calm presence‘, I’ve loved that since I heard it, I’ve had years of walking into rooms of strangers and leaving as friends. I always go out of my way to create a gallery of photos that mean the world to you.

Did I mention I’ve been doing this a while?…In over a decade of being a pro photographer I’ve become an expert at taking photos without it feeling too much like a ‘photoshoot’.

I’ve seen trends come and go, I keep my style as timeless as possible, remember a couple of years back when every photo was a kind of orangey colour…nope, not for me.

Documentary wedding photography done right means you don’t really notice me. And when you do, I’m always in the right place at the right time.

Not only do I love photographing weddings, I’m also bringing nearly 15 years worth of experience. Not only from hundreds of weddings but also from working as a commercial and editorial photographer too.

That means I know all the tricks, relaxing nervous guests (and couples), nailing golden hour shots, unexpected things happening when they shouldn’t, and how to be at your wedding without getting in the way.

I’ll never force you to pose in a way that doesn’t feel natural to you. I won’t be on the lookout for images that will look good in my portfolio, I’m looking for moments that really sum up your day.

HOW IT WORKS ON THE DAY

getting ready

I start around 2 hours before the ceremony to spend a bit of time with one of you while you get ready. As I’ve not been able to clone myself just yet I can only do one at a time, so if you’d like both parties covered during the morning we can easily arrange a second shooter.

Its go time, go meet your forever person at the end of the aisle. I’ll bring my cameras. I’m pretty low key here, always keeping in mind you and your guests experience of this moment.

Congrats! How good does that feel? As soon as you’re married, we’ll do your confetti tunnel, then we’ll make our way to the reception.

At some point that works for you, we’ll sneak off for a few quiet photos of just the two of you. Its a nice moment for you to take a breath and take it all in.

Honestly, 99% of couples introduce themselves to me this way. Please don’t worry, I work in a nice, relaxed way. We have a laugh, take some photos, its all really chill.
