Hi, nice to meet you.

I’m John. A music obsessed, coffee dependant, documentary wedding photographer (and cat parent). Originally from lovely Cardigan, I’ve called Swansea home for most of my life.

Photography has been in my life since my late teens. Seeing the worlds of skateboarding and music clashing in the work of Glen E Friedman was super inspiring then, and still is today.

I mentioned music? Yeah, utterly obsessed. I ( gracefully misspent) my youth singing and playing guitar in bands of the heavier kind, then a period behind the decks as a DJ. These days I moonlight as an electronic music producer and have released tracks on labels in Spain, Germany and the UK.

After studying a degree in Documentary Photography, I spent some time working in London for the Financial Times as a picture editor and photographer, some commercial assisting followed. Fast forward to now and I’ve been a professional photographer for over 10 years, in both the wedding and editorial/commercial worlds, now settled just outside the Gower with my wonderful partner and cat.

My aim is to make timeless work that can be remembered for generations, doing it in the most natural and relaxed way possible.

The wedding shouldn’t be about the photographs.

The photographs should be about the wedding.
